We are an engineering group in the Seattle area specializing in mechanical design.
Our background includes aerospace tooling, electric induction motor design, and sustainable clean water projects. With extensive experience in research, development, and production environments, we are able to work closely with customers and fabricators to create practical, effective designs that meet your engineering needs.

With mechanical design done in tandem with a controls team, this tool was designed to lift and manipulate a fully-assembled BE-4 rocket engine.
This strut was designed and analyzed to withstand forces from a 550,000lbf engine hotfire test, as well as survive long term outdoor exposure.
Designed for rigorous ground transport load cases, components of the tool were re-analyzed and redesigned to meet a higher working load limit.
We handle projects from concept through release, incorporating Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) best practices to achieve not just optimized performance, but producibility as well.
3D modeling and 2D drafting services, with extensive GD&T Y14.5 experience.
We design everything from large weldments to high-pressure proof plates, using both "hand calculations" and FEA to ensure safety and compliance.
Regardless of your level of production-readiness, we design tooling that makes your vision become reality, or improves output and ergonomics.
B.C. Engineering was founded by Chris Weber, a Mechanical Design Engineer in Seattle, Washington. With a degree in Nuclear Engineering, he began work in mechanical design for Toshiba Industrial in Houston, then with Engineers Without Borders in Peru and Sierra Leone before landing in Seattle.
After professionally brewing beer in the PNW for a year and a half, he worked with Blue Origin to design aerospace tooling for their orbital rocket engines, actively growing their research and development programs to full production levels.
